Lecture on the Topic of “Hazardous Chemicals”

🟡 Through interactive communication with students, information was shared about the importance of safe chemical usage, the impact of chemicals on health and the environment, with a particular emphasis on the role that young people in Montenegro can have as consumers and users of chemical products in driving positive changes in this area.

🟢 Following the lecture, students from the Gymnasium “Niko Rolović” in Bar, Gymnasium “Miloje Dobrašinović” in Bijelo Polje, and the High School of Economics “Mirko Vešović” in Podgorica were further educated on how to increase chemical safety in everyday life when dealing with chemicals and chemical products.

🟡 The general aim of the project “Knowledge about Chemicals for a Sustainable Community” 🧼 is to reduce environmental pollution from chemicals🧪 through strengthening the role of CSOs in fulfilling obligations from the EU integration process, which will be achieved through youth education👪, providing initial inputs for decision-makers through quality structured research📊 on the use and disposal of chemical products 🧼, as well as awareness levels of the dangers of this type of pollution🧽.

🟢 The project “Knowledge about Chemicals for a Sustainable Community” is supported by a grant from SMART Balkans – Civil Society for a Connected Western Balkans, implemented by the Center for the Promotion of Civil Society (CPCD) – Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM) – North Macedonia, and the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) – Albania, financially supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.
